This workshop will give a brief introduction to sports psychology followed by a practical exercise involving a technique called thought-stopping
Acrobatic Gymnastics - Development of Coordination using a Trampoline (Sun 2:00pm) - Toshko Pavlov
This workshop will include the use of the trampoline to develop coordination and twisting techniques used in acrobatic gymnastics.
Acrobatic Gymnastics - Lessons Structure (Sat 11:45am) - Toshko Pavlov
This workshop will cover the misconceptions and misunderstandings of warm-up, conditioning and preparatory exercises involved with acrobatic gymnastics.

An overview of talent identification, including it’s history and an overview of what to look for and what to avoid.

GymMark has been launched in Scotland this year and this workshop will decribe the GymMark process including the benefits of gaining GymMark and what it will mean for your club.
Importance of Choreography for all Gymnasts (Sun 10:45am through to 12:30pm) - Daniela Nanova
This workshop will emphasise the importance of choreography, culture of movements, ballet and dance for all gymnasts. It will also cover the importance of correct posture, body lines, range and ability of movement, classical style and presence.
Men's Artistic 'Getting The Basics Right' (Sat 10:30am) - George Predescu
The importance of good physical preparation as well as emphasis on the key core skills for long term athlete development.
Men's Artistic High Bar (Sun 9:30am) - George Predescu
The key points in ensuring good command of basic swing, that will lead to complex release and catch elements at senior level.
Men's Artistic Judging Update (Sat 3:15pm) - Andrew Webb
The Men's Artistic Judging Update will provide all attendees with knowledge of changes to the new Code of Points for the 2009 to 2012 Olympic Cycle; an overview of judging fundamentals for all judges and coaches; an insight into the British and International judging process and FIG IRCOS video replay system; and will include presentation of some common avoidable errors, tips and explanations to help coaches of both NDP setwork and voluntary code gymnasts. This workshop is suitable for all coaches and judges who are, or are aspiring to be involved in Men's Artistic Gymnastics.

This lecture will focus on general good practice with respect to nutrition and some techniques to ensure the performer remains hydrated throughout competition.

Performance Lifestyle supporting the Performance Coaching Process. Performance Lifestyle is for high achievers- those who want to get the most out of life and produce their best in everything they do. It is for people who know the many aspects of their life impact on each other and each one needs to be carefully planned and managed if all their goals and aspirations are to be achieved.
Preparing gymnasts for Squads - (Sat 3:15pm & Sun 9:30am) - Sandy Richardson
Gymnasts going from club structures into the squad structures need to be physically and mentally prepared. It is the coaches job to ensure that they are ready and able to cope with the changes in discipline and behaviours etc. This workshop will investigate ways to ensure that gymnasts are ready both physically and mentally and will include the standards of behaviour required, levels of discipline, gym etiquette, training intensities and dedication required.
Setting Up & Developing a Club (Sun 10:45am) - Sarah Wallace / Jackie Lawrie
Question & Answers - This workshop will be useful for those interested in setting up a club but also for those who are interested in developing their club further. Topics to be covered include constitutions, committees, action planning to name but a few.

This workshop will introduce everyone to the concept of synchronised performances on the floor together with the requirements from the new code of points for Teamgym competitions.

This workshop will look at the take-off and landing phase, linking skills, aiming for consistency of performance.

Women's Artistic Judging Update (Sat 10:30am) - Pauline Smith
The Judging session will include an update on any changes and clarifications to the new code since January 2009. For coaches the focus will be on the most common problems relating to routine construction and how to minimise execution deductions.
Video Analysis (Sat 10:30am & Sunday 10:45am) - Brendan Reilly
Dartfish has been established for over 10 years and it has over 100,000 users worldwide. 50% of Beijing medallists use Dartfish and the workshop will demonstatre how this tool can be used within gymnastics. It will show how you can easily capture/upload/analyse and then share this footage with your gymnast or the wider coach population through the use of "Gymnastics TV". There are a number of analytical tools that are very useful for gymnastics and are being used extensively worldwide in many Olympic organisations.
