All workshops will begin at 2.20pm sharp, it is therefore advised that groups taking part in the professional dance workshops should aim to be at Meadowbank for 1:45pm.

We have a brilliant line up of professional dance troops coming to DANCEFEST to perform on the main stage. Lead dance coaches and choreographers from these groups will be offering all dancers taking part in this year’s event the opportunity to learn from the best during the 1 hour workshops. This is your chance to meet some of Scotland’s most successful Dance troupes! Learn new moves, pick up some fantastic choreography and experience different styles of dance all in one event!!
BLOK Dance Troupe
BLOK is a group of 15 professional female dancers from Central Scotland. The troupe is professionally trained to a high standard in a variety of dance styles including Hip Hop, Cheerleading, Freestyle, Latin American, Salsa and Rock & Roll.
BLOK was originally formed by Kay Lang through her professional dance company. Kay is the only Scottish based lecturer for the UK Alliance of Professional Teachers of
Dancing Federation in the style of Hip Hop & Street.

1BLUD
1BLUD street dance crew are another one of the fantastic acts coming along to showcase their talents and give us some ideas for next years routines. 1 BLUD will be leading workshops in street dance. Consisting of dancers from different races, religions, backgrounds and different styles. Each dancer in the crew is gifted with a gift to dance. 1blud has performed in many prestigeouse Glasgow venues such as the SECC, Carling Academy and the CCA.
DANCE FOR ALL
Dance for all was founded by Director, Tracy Hawkes RTS ARAD SDS IdB(1) in 1985 and continues to promote enjoyment, achievement and excellence in all forms of dance training.Tracy Hawkes is one of Scotland’s best known dance teachers who has performed and taught extensively in schools and companies here and abroad (Basic Space Dance Theatre, Napac Ballet and Durban City Ballet). She is a registered teacher and associate of RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) and the only SDS (Spanish Dance Society) qualified teacher in Scotland.
Her great versatility and vast experience of the dance world is reflected in the immense variety of classes and courses held at the Main School in Stockbridge along with the Branch School in Newington.Dance For All is a hub of expertise that you can dip into at any age and level, from the complete beginner to the experienced professional.
