Training in Outdoor Environments

Overview

 The aim of this qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to design and deliver safe and effective fitness training sessions to groups of participants in outdoor environments.
Throughout this course you will learn from professionals who have excelled in delivering outdoor exercise sessions all over Scotland.

Prerequisites

All applicants must have successfully completed the Level 2 Gym Instructor or Level 2 Exercise To Music qualification prior to attending this course.

Content

• Safety considerations when training in outdoor environments
• Use of equipment while training outdoors
• Programming for specific client groups e.g. health & fitness, sports, weight management etc
•  Delivering outdoor sessions covering a range of styles e.g. bootcamp, circuits etc

Format & Assessment

This course is Tutor lead with 2 days teaching followed by 1 practical assessment. You will be provided with worksheets and an assessment pack which you will be asked to complete before your practical assessment.

Progression Routes

Add to your knowledge at Level 3 by completing our Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification. Add the Level 2 Instructing Exercise and Physical Activity for Children to your CV to allow you to deliver bootcamp style sessions for children.
