Job Description

Who We’re Looking For

An enthusiastic, motivated coach eager to develop their career and qualifications. You should be passionate about nurturing gymnasts’ personal growth, eager to share your expertise, and committed to advancing the club’s ambitions. Level 1 coaches with ambitions to progress will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

– Create progressive training plans for short- and long-term development

– Develop and deliver engaging coaching sessions tailored to gymnasts’ levels

– Support gymnasts’ participation in competitions and events

– Contribute to the ongoing development of the club’s general programme

Person Specification

– Hold a minimum Level 1 coaching qualification in women’s artistic or general gymnastics – willing to work towards Level 2 and higher qualifications

– Hold current Scottish Gymnastics membership

– Possess current safeguarding and protecting children certification and PVG clearance

– Prioritise gymnasts’ well-being and foster a positive, motivating environment

– A strong desire to work with both recreational and competitive gymnasts to support their development

– Experience or understanding of women’s artistic pathways and a desire to coach competitive gymnasts

– Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

– Demonstrate strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and flexibility to cover various groups across the club
