Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join Scottish Gymnastics as club development manager.

Are you experienced in supporting and empowering clubs? Do you have a passion for engaging with others and empowering them with the skillset to achieve their club ambitions? Can you help clubs with their development journey to ensure positive and uplifting gymnastics experiences for all members? Would you like to work in a dynamic, ambitious organisation dedicated to everything gymnastics in Scotland?

Scottish Gymnastics is the governing body responsible for all levels of gymnastics activity in Scotland. We are a close-knit team whose purpose is to make our sport enjoyable, safe, and open to everyone. We are looking for someone who shares our values of inclusive, supportive, and aspirational to help us achieve our vision of an uplifting gymnastics experience for all.   

This is a key role working directly with Scottish Gymnastics clubs to support them in a range of areas including developing knowledge and understanding of running clubs, essentials for great governance and supporting clubs with their ambitions to grow. The club development manager will inspire and encourage clubs to have visions that put great experiences at the heart of everything they do.

The club development manager will be strong in coaching people and mentoring, have an understanding of the varied club structures across Scotland and be skilled at working with both paid and voluntary workforces. An ability to build, maintain and grow positive relationships with the club workforce will be key to success in this role.

You will be a great fit with our team if you demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and can develop strong, effective working relationships. Great attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to work proactively with clubs and partners is essential. A continuous improvement approach to your work will be expected as well as the ability to reflect and seek creative solutions to challenges.

Appointment is subject to a satisfactory PVG scheme membership.
