Job Description

Edinburgh University Gymnastics Club (EUGC) is looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and dedicated coaches to help deliver structured training sessions. EUGC is a student-run adult gymnastics club that caters to all abilities ranging from beginners to ex-competitive gymnasts. We are particularly keen for level 2+ coaches in women’s and men’s artistic as well as TeamGym however are open to level 1.

Position & Requirements

Self-employed position starting in September for the academic year. Coaches must hold a level 1+ qualification in women’s artistic, men’s artistic, acro, general gymnastics, or TeamGym.

Attend one coaches’ meeting per semester.

Key Responsibilities

Working with other coaches to plan/deliver training sessions.

Helping gymnasts set and work towards their goals or prepare for competitions.

Potentially attend events such as competitions and Gymfest.


Competitive pay rate (£/hr): level 1 – £10.42 | level 2 – £12 | level 3+ – £14

Financial assistance for coaching courses.

Access to the University of Edinburgh Sports Union’s Coaching and Volunteering Academy which can provide coaches with development opportunities through workshops and other events.

Working in a welcoming and flexible environment.

Non-student coaches are also eligible to buy a student-priced Pleasance gym membership.
