Equality Advisory Committee Member
Job Description
As part of our ongoing work to uphold the principles and values of equality across our sport, we have created a new Equality Advisory Committee to assist us in leading the way. As part of this process, we are seeking members who are committed and passionate about equality from a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, to join our Equality Advisory Committee.
The committee’s remit is to provide advice and guidance on all equality matters, ensuring practical, strategic, and operational support is sustained for the development and delivery of our Equality Action plan, in addition to supporting our Staff Equality Working Group and Board Members in relation to equality and diversity.
As a member of the Equality and Diversity Advisory Group, you will offer advice on all matters of equality, and specifically on one or more of the UK Equality Act 2010 protected characteristics. We are seeking new members from within our membership as well as independent members with knowledge or experience working with diverse groups or individuals who have equality backgrounds as well as members from underrepresented groups.
It is envisaged an Equality Advisory Committee member will serve for an initial period of two years.
