Job Description

At Lasswade Gymnastics Club we have an excellent opportunity for highly motivated coaches with a passion for delivering progressive and engaging recreational classes (will consider Level 1 with ambition to progress). Post will initially be on a self-employed basis and may provide opportunities for future employment. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • To plan, prepare and deliver engaging coaching sessions for gymnasts to the level of qualification.
  • To attend competitions and events as required.
  • To assist the head of discipline to develop the general programme.

Person Specification:

  • Hold a minimum of level 1 coaching qualification in women’s or men’s artistic, general or TeamGym and be keen to work towards level 2+.
  • Hold current membership to Scottish Gymnastics, safeguarding certificate, and a PVG.
  • Value and prioritise gymnasts’ happiness and well-being, while motivating and encouraging gymnasts to achieve new skills.
  • A strong desire to work with both recreational and floor and vault competitive gymnasts to support their development.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, and individually.
  • A good work ethic and desire to learn.
