Job Description

At Lasswade Gymnastics Club we have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, and ambitious men’s artistic level 2 coach (will consider level 1 with ambition to progress) to join our coaching team and help develop our men’s artistic section. This position is a great opportunity for an individual who has the desire to further develop their skills and progress within men’s artistic.

We can offer a degree of flexibility in the hours available within our programme which runs in the evenings of a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday afternoon/ evening, and Sunday all day.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To plan, prepare, and deliver engaging coaching sessions for gymnasts to the level of qualification.
  • Prepare progressive session plans for the short-, and longer-term development of the gymnasts
  • To attend competitions and events as required.

Person Specification:

  • Hold a minimum of level 1 coaching qualification in men’s artistic and be prepared to work towards level 2 and / or level 3.
  • Hold current Safeguarding and Protecting Children Certificate, and a PVG.
  • Value and prioritise gymnasts’ happiness and well-being, while motivating and encouraging gymnasts to achieve new skills.
  • Have experience or understanding of the current Men’s artistic pathways.
  • A desire to coach gymnasts aiming to / competing in Competitive Pathways.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, and individually.
  • Be prepared to cover groups across the club, as and when required.
