Job Description

Are you passionate about gymnastics and enthusiastic about sharing your skills and knowledge with others? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced level 2 coach to join the team at Kilmarnock Acrobatic Gymnastics Club (KAGC).

  • Implement effective training programs tailored to the age, skill level, and goals of gymnasts.
  • Deliver high-quality coaching sessions, focusing on skill development, technique, and safety.
  • Inspire and motivate gymnasts to reach their full potential and develop a love for the sport.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to athletes, helping them overcome challenges and improve their performance.
  • Ensure a safe training environment by adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
  • Organise, manage, and feedback on coach audits and observations.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and direction to all staff and coaches.
  • Support and advice on class requirements, any foreseen gaps and coach shortages, ensuring classes are adequately covered by the right team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a gymnastics coach, preferably working with athletes of various ages and skill levels.
  • Strong knowledge of gymnastics techniques, training methods, and progressions.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate gymnasts.
  • Ability to adapt coaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and individual needs.
  • Demonstrated passion for promoting physical fitness, well-being, and sportsmanship.
  • Relevant certifications – Scottish Gymnastics or British Gymnastics level 2 coaching certificate is required.
