Wellbeing & Safe Sport Administrator (Fixed term contract maternity cover)

Job Description
Exciting opportunity to join Scottish Gymnastics as a wellbeing and safe sport administrator on a temporary basis for 12 months maternity cover. Scottish Gymnastics is the governing body responsible for all levels of gymnastics activity throughout Scotland. We believe safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility with Scottish Gymnastics taking the lead in ensuring the wellbeing of all our members. You would be joining a friendly and supportive team who work hard to ensure that wellbeing and safe sport is a golden thread through all the work we do and that our sport is enjoyable, safe and open to everyone.
The successful candidate will carry out our PVG process, safeguarding education calendar management, be the first point of contact for our clubs when they contact our wellbeing and safe sport team. They will be a core member of the team and support other project work administratively as needed.
You will be a great fit to our team if you demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and develop strong, effective working relationships. Have great attention to detail and organisational skills, the ability to work proactively with volunteer safeguarding officers, clubs, coaches, officials, and key partners. Being able to work as part of a team as well as being able to work on your own initiative is essential for this role. A sound knowledge or a willingness to upskill in the area of safeguarding, policy, procedure, and best practice guidance would be an advantage.
