National Technical Advisor – Paul Hall (MBE)
The National Performance Programme (NPP) for Men’s Artistic Gymnastics commenced in August 2015 with a new approach, a new Technical lead and a new format of delivery. Scottish Gymnastics’ new approach is about establishing a sustainable system to develop gymnasts and coaches capable of International success. The programme is as much about developing the personal coaches as it is to support the advancement of our gymnasts.
The NPP has taken shape to strengthen performance development of our coaches and gymnasts within the Men’s Artistic programme and the club training environment; our Technical Advisor, Paul Hall MBE, will guide and lead the programme which will have an ethos of hard work and continuous improvement required from gymnasts and coaches who are selected.
The programme is focused on gymnasts aged 14yrs+ who meet specific criteria around their competition and gymnastics ability. It is an expectation that gymnasts aiming to be considered at this level, or who are already selected in the programme must participate in the following competitions:
Scottish Artistic Championships
British Artistic Championships
