In line with the Scottish Gymnastics strategic plan (2015-2027), we have the long term aim to expand the talent pool and develop Scottish gymnasts to British and World high performance level. The Performance Pathway Programme links firmly into our strategy with the objective of expanding and sustaining the talent pool in rhythmic gymnastics and developing coaches and gymnasts to British performance levels.
The aim of this programme is to support coaches and gymnasts in developing the skills that will allow them to succeed on the British pathway. The programme will be delivered by a variety of technical experts along with the support of the coaches on the Scottish Gymnastics Rhythmic Coach Development Programmes, to provide excellent technical support for both gymnasts and their personal coaches. The programme is based on a culture of hard work, continuous improvement, taking ownership and embracing challenge and setbacks.
Coaches who wish their gymnasts to be considered for the programme and the profiling day need to submit an application. This should be completed and returned to firstname.lastname@example.org by 4pm on Thursday 24 October.
Following a review of the applications submitted, the Rhythmic Technical Panel and Performance Manager (Olympic Disciplines) will invite gymnasts via their personal coaches for profiling day on Saturday 30 November 2019 at Lilleshall National Sports Centre.
