Performance Pathway Programmes

The Teamgym Performance Programme works towards providing clear opportunities across all levels in order to drive the development of both athletes and coaches.  These activities have been designed in line with the strategic plan between the Teamgym Technical Panel, Scottish Gymnastics Performance team and input from the Teamgym National Technical Leads(s).  The Performance Programme consists of:

  • National Performance Programme (NPP)
  • Performance Pathway Programme (PPP) – delivered in 2 regions (Central/North)
  • Development – delivered in 4 workshops annually

National Performance Programme (NPP)
The National Performance Programme (NPP) provides targeted support to Level 1 or 2 Junior & Senior gymnasts (12+).  The 2020 programme will support gymnasts (and their coaches) who are selected in line with the criteria over a 12 month period, providing they continue to meet the criteria of the programme: the programme is based on a culture of hard work, continuous improvement, demonstrating performance behaviours, taking ownership and embracing challenge.  More information on the National Performance Programme can be found below.

Performance Pathway Programme (PPP)
The Performance Pathway Programme (PPP) provides targeted support to Youth gymnasts (10+) plus Junior gymnasts that are NOT competing at Level 1 or 2.  The 2020 programme will support gymnasts (and their coaches) who are selected in line with the criteria below over a 12month period, providing they continue to meet the criteria of the programme: the programme is based on a culture of hard work, continuous improvement, demonstrating performance behaviours, taking ownership and embracing challenge.  More information on the Performance Pathway Programme can be found below.
