Four days, four championships, four disciplines

Scottish gymnasts are in action at the British Gymnastics Championship Series in Liverpool which takes place from Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 July.

Four days of non-stop gymnastics action showcases the skill of Britain’s best gymnasts and the diversity of our spectacular sport. Multiple disciplines and age groups will be competing at the Liverpool Echo Arena for prestigious British medal titles.

The weekend sees Rhythmic Gymnastics and Acrobatic Gymnastics British Championships take place over three days from Friday to Sunday, while the GB Gym for Life Challenge is underway at the same time as the British TeamGym Championships over the weekend.

In the British Teamgym Championships, Saltire Team Gymnastic are competing in the senior mixed team category, while in the British Teamgym Challenge Cup, Irvine Bay are in the Youth Micro Team Challenge and Forth Valley in the Junior Micro Team Challenge.

Gymnasts from seven clubs are competing in the Acrobatic British Championships, with a team from West Lothian Rhythmic qualifying for the Rhythmic British Championships for the first time.

There are also teams from two clubs performing in the Gym For Life Challenge.

The weekend’s action is completed with the Aerobic Championships and a gala evening on Friday.
