ACROBATIC GYMNASTS SHINE AT PAT WADE CLASSIC

Gymnasts from a number of Scottish clubs earned podium finishes at the Pat Wade Classic 2017 last weekend at Fenton Manor, Stoke-on-Trent.

This is a recommended competition for gymnasts and coaches who are currently on, or are aiming to gain selection for, the Acrobatic Performance Programme.  This is a very competitive event with a large entry and after two days of competition, our gymnasts won three gold and two bronze medals.

Congratulations to the following gymnasts and their personal coaches for their achievements.

Women’s group 12 – 18 years
Gold – Rebecca Stewart, Ellie Horstmann & Scarlett Haldane – Acrobay

Erin Henderson, Sacha Muir & Chloe Rowlands – Acrobay
Gold – Women’s group 13 - 19 years

Jemma Campbell & Louise Dickson – Sapphire Gymnastics Club
Gold – Women’s pairs 13 - 19 years

Coire Prentice & Taylor Stirling – Astro Gymnastics Club
Bronze – Men’s pairs 11 - 16 years

David Arendarik & Tia Kidd – City of Glasgow Gymnastics Club
Bronze - Mixed pairs 12 - 18 years

Pictured above are medal-winning gymnasts and their coaches from City of Glasgow and Acrobay, who are also part of the Scottish Gymnastics performance programmes.

Partnerships are now being considered for the 2018 performance programmes. Performances at the Scottish Acrobatic Invitational 2018 and British Championships 2018 will be used as selection events.
