Scottish Gymnastics are looking for people to join Board Advisory Groups.
As part of our exciting 12-year journey with the clear vision of ‘a strong Scottish Gymnastics, inspiring and nurturing emerging talent’, we are focussed on delivering strategic objectives in four key, interdependent areas: clubs, people, gymnasts and corporate.
To help the Scottish Gymnastics Board deliver these objectives, we are setting up Board Advisory Groups, to focus on clubs, pathways and governance.
Each group’s role is advisory, making recommendations and providing updates to the board. Their purpose is to help drive the sport in Scotland by identifying priorities from the long-term strategy and annual operating plan.
Within each group, there will be project groups or subgroups to address opportunities or activities over different time periods, as priorities emerge. Working groups will be set up to inform and support the delivery of agreed priorities.
The Clubs Board Advisory Group will focus on commercial opportunities, communication and events.
The Pathways Advisory Group will include the existing HPAG and also focus on performance pathway development and coaches and officials.
The Governance Board Advisory Group will focus on standards, systems and controls alongside the existing Remuneration Advisory Group and the Conduct in Sport Panel.
How can you help? Our NPP gymnasts explain...
We are looking for people interested in joining any of the three board advisory groups. The role requires a commitment of on average of four meetings per year and is not remunerated.
If you are interested in helping prioritise and shape the work of Scottish Gymnastics, we would love to hear from you.
Please get in touch with Lara Gregson at email@example.com or 0131 271 9736 to discuss further before 9am on Monday 15 May.
