GYMFEST PERTH RAISES OVER £700 FOR CHARITY

Friends and family of over 1000 gymnasts packed into the Bell’s Sports Centre Perth last weekend to watch 63 teams perform their display routines to their favourite musical numbers and films.

Teams travelled from as far as Woking in the south (Prime Acrobatics) and Shetland Gymnastics Club in the north for a weekend filled with gymnastics fun.

This year the event was the same weekend as Children in Need and with that in mind Jump Gymnastics Club (pictured top) from Cumbernauld devoted their senior routine to the cause with special guest, Pudsey the bear even appearing at the end! With audience donations the club were able to raise £417.60 over the two days to donate to the charity that help make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people around the UK.

On Sunday Edinburgh University (pictured bottom) dedicated their routine to SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) who provide mental health and social care support to those in Scotland. The club were able to raise a total of £320.

Congratulations to everyone took part in Gymfest Perth!
