PERFORMANCE NUTRITION WORKSHOP FOR COACHES

Limited spaces available!

We are offering coaches the chance to join a nutrition workshop with Renee McGregor BSc (hons) PGDIP (DIET) PGCERT(sportsnutr) RD SENr – and author of Eat Well, Feel Fab.

This is the first workshop in a series of four coming up over the next few months, with others to follow on physiotherapy, physical preparation, and mindset. The workshops are part of the services offered in the east area where we are piloting a ‘Regional Support Hub’ to help clubs further support and develop their coaches and gymnasts in their home training environments.

We have identified clubs currently engaged in a Scottish Gymnastics performance programme or clubs who have gymnasts in a British Gymnastics performance programme to be a part of the pilot

However, due to its relevance in the development of growing gymnasts, the nutrition workshop is also open to coaches who are not in the support hub.

About Renee and the workshop

Benefits: Sports Nutrition is a key area for gymnasts as well as coaches and parents to understand: fuelling effectively and recovering appropriately are important for consistent training, resulting in progression. This is even more important when working with developing athletes that are growing as well as the added challenges of daily routines and travel between school and training.

You can find out more about Renee on her website.
