RHYTHMIC ROUND OFF THE YEAR BY WINNING MEDALS

At the Open Apparatus Espoir and Pre-Espoir Championship in Fenton Manor last weekend Rhythmic gymnasts from Scotland were competing in both the Pre-Junior and the Espoirs categories.

West Lothian Rhythmic Gymnastics Club’s Emma Anderson (pictured) earnt bronze in the Espoir Ribbon category with a score of 5.200.  

Jasmine Brody from Beacon Rhythmic Gymnastics Club finished eighth in a big field in the Pre-Junior Ball competition with a score of 5.650

The competition rounds off a season that has seen Rhythmic gymnastics in Scotland progress, Ruth Wilson, Chair of the Rhythmic Technical Panel, is delighted that the discipline has progressed this season. She said: “This year our emphasis has been on development and building the foundations towards performance.

She added: “It's a great way to end the year showing some progression towards our longer terms goals for Rhythmic gymnastics in Scotland”
