Scots to Represent GB in TeamGym at 2018 European Championships
No less than eight Scottish gymnasts have been selected to represent Team GB at the European TeamGym Championships in Odivelas, Portugal, 15th-21st October 2018.
Following on from their bronze medal at the British TeamGym Championships at the start of the month, gymnasts from Saltire Team Gymnastics Club and Irvine Bay Gymnastics Club have been selected. Forth Valley Gymnastics Club are also represented after a bronze medal performance in the senior micro team challenge at the same event.
As well as gymnasts, Saltire’s Tracey Brown has been selected as the Men’s Unit Coach: “To be selected as a coach for the Men’s unit is fantastic. I’m looking forward to being part of the coaching team, working with the other coaches and gymnasts towards the Europeans in October.”
Tracey is thrilled to see Scottish representation in the GB team: “It’s great to see gymnasts from three Scottish clubs in the teams. I know the gymnasts have worked really hard over what has been a very long competition phase so results are very well deserved.”
Congratulations to all the gymnasts and coaches selected for team GB TeamGym European Championships. We wish them the best of luck in training and look forward to watching them later on in the year.
