Scottish Gymnastics Appoint Men's Artistic National Coach

Scottish Gymnastics is pleased to announce the appointment of Gheorghe Predescu as Men's Artistic National Coach until December 2014.

Tracy Rea, Head of Performance said “We are delighted to appoint Gheorghe to lead the Men’s Artistic squad programme as National Coach until the end of 2014. Gheorghe was previously employed by British Gymnastics as a National Coach and is currently head of gymnastics at Loughborough University.

Gheorghe Predescu said "I am delighted to lead the Scottish Men’s Artistic squad programme, having worked with the gymnasts and caches closely in the past, I  am looking forward to working with them in the coming months”.

About Gheorghe Predescu:
Gheorghe has a degree in Physical Education and Sport(Gymnastics) from the Romanian Institute of Physical Education and Sport. The same Institute awarded him a First Grade in teaching Gymnastics after twelve years of coaching at the MAG Romanian National Centre.  In Great Britain, George worked as National Coach for WC Potential and Start, at a time when the actual GB seniors were part of WCP and WCS. In pre London Olympics, George acted as consultant for Huntington OGC, whilst also in the position of Director of Gymnastics at Loughborough University.
