Scottish Gymnastics is today delighted to announce that it has now formally signed a Working Partnership Agreement with British Gymnastics which is due to commence on the 1st September 2015.

The agreement will better standardise and improve the integration between Scottish and British Gymnastics to ensure that the gymnastics community can capitalise on the strengths of both organisations.  It has been structured in the best possible way to ensure clubs and members across the whole UK can access the same services, support and opportunities and will receive a consistent service irrespective of Home Country.

The initial change will be that British Gymnastics will now handle the membership renewals process for the 2015/16 membership year, commencing 01st October 2015.   This means that, from the 01st September, all SG clubs will have access to the GymNET Club Management online system to process both club registration and memberships. Current club data has already been ported over to GymNET.

Scott Harper Scottish Gymnastics chair said, “Today’s announcement culminates over 18 months hard work between both organisations. This agreement will lead to improved benefits for our clubs and members.  Gymnastics in Scotland continues to go from strength to strength, the partnership will ensure Scottish Gymnastics can focus on delivering the core gymnastics activity, supporting clubs and gymnastics people which will further enhance the development of our sport in Scotland”.

While the GymNET system is very user friendly, British Gymnastics will be providing full training sessions for our clubs to attend on the 14th August at Caledonia House, 1, Redheughs Rigg, Edinburgh, and will support you through the process with the help of their dedicated Customer Service team.  The workshops will be led by Simon Evans, Head of Development at BG and times available are:

10:00 – 11:30 am               /              1:00 – 2:30 pm   /              4:00 – 5:30 pm                   /              6:00 – 7:30 pm

If you can attend one of the above workshops, please email Lindsay McKie, Development Administrator at  with your preferred time.

Another benefit of the agreement is that all SG clubs will have access to BG GfA programmes and activities, including access to downloads via GymNET.  These include:

·         GymFit

·         GymChallenge

·         MyClub

·         MyLeadership Academy

Other developments that clubs will benefit from in the near future include better visibility and detail on the Discover Gymnastics platform, online competition entry and course bookings.

It is important to clarify that that the agreement has been made to ensure SG can continue to provide clubs with the best possible products and services, ensuring the gymnastics community in Scotland continues to go from strength to strength.  BG will be providing membership services and access to systems, products and services, and SG will continue to provide the core services in supporting clubs to help them achieve their ambitions and programmes for coaches, officials and volunteers.

In addition SG will continue to provide insurance whilst making the most of ongoing developments being made by BG.
