Scottish Gymnastics is delighted to announce the appointment of Zoe Frost as General Director. Following an open recruitment process, Zoe has been co-opted to the SG Board until her appointment can be approved by the membership at the AGM in 2016.
Zoe will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of the Scottish Gymnastics strategy with a particular focus on developing the Association’s commercial activity.
A Strategy and Finance professional with more than 10 years’ experience in business planning, execution and budget ownership in a highly competitive media industry, Zoe will bring a complimentary set of skills to the SG Board.
As a CIMA qualified accountant, Zoe has recently returned to Scotland following an 8 year period in Australia with Foxtel, where she was Head of Strategy: Pricing & Packaging. Foxtel is a pay television company offering live sports, television shows and movies on demand.
On her appointment Zoe said, “I am delighted to join the Board of Directors of Scottish Gymnastics at an exciting time for the sport. Gymnastics is increasingly popular and as the profile of the sport continues to grow, I look forward to utilising my experience to help capitalise on commercial opportunities and maximise the potential of the Association”.
Chairman Scott Harper said, “Zoe’s appointment comes at a time where our membership and financial base is expanding quickly. Growing our commercial activities will help us to invest more in our sport and deliver on our key strategic priorities. Zoe has a range of skills, commercial and cash advance loans expertise which will be of significant benefit to the Association in this area.
The Scottish Gymnastics Board will seek to fill the one vacant Director’s post (Technical Director: Non-Olympic Disciplines) in the New Year.
