After a successful recruitment campaign, we recently recruited nine team managers who attended the first ever team manager training workshop on Saturday 3 February.

The workshop was facilitated by Alan Lynn, National Coach for Scottish Swimming, who developed the inaugural team manager training programme in Scottish Swimming. His unique blend of practical experience, theoretical knowledge and coach/manager development expertise brought an interactive day of training to our new recruits.

A team manager is not a technical role; their role is to provide a high quality and safe experience for the designated team and in doing so, be an ambassador for the sport of gymnastics.

They will provide a high level of team management before, during and after the event.  They are responsible for the gymnasts, selected coaches, officials and any support staff selected for the event or camp, and lead on the day-to-day running of the team at the event.  They are also responsible for the smooth running of the delegation’s attendance at an event, before, during and after the event.

The recently recruited team managers who completed training are:

Amanda Boucher
Laura Donaldson
Fiona Fyfe
Karen McLoughlin
Debi McPhee
Catriona Morton
Stephanie Stewart
Jen Swan
Andy Youl

We look forward to them starting to undertake their duties as team managers at our Performance Pathway Camps and international representative events throughout 2018.
