TRAMPOLINE, DMT AND TUMBLING GYMNASTS HEAD TO BIRMINGHAM FOR REGIONAL TEAM FINAL

A large Scottish team is heading to the British Gymnastics Trampoline and Tumbling Regional Team Final this weekend at Arena Birmingham, where they will compete against 12 other regions.

The team of 180 Trampoline, Tumbling and Double Mini Trampoline (DMT) gymnasts and coaches came together in Perth last weekend for regional training. This is the largest Scottish team that has ever been sent to a British Gymnastics event, testament to the hard work of the gymnasts, coaches and clubs at this level.

Last year the team brought home 51 medals with 111 of the 150 Scottish team gymnasts qualifying for the British NDP Championships, with a larger team going this year we would love to see more gymnasts qualify this year. The DMT team will be looking to take home the trophy for the third year in a row, meanwhile the Trampoline and Tumbling teams will be looking to go one better after last years second placings.

Good luck to all the gymnast, personal coaches and parents heading down to Birmingham this weekend.
