Rhythmic National NDP Grade Finals 2018
At the national rhythmic gymnastics NDP Grades Finals, 9 and 10 June, 16 Scottish gymnasts qualified for the British Gymnastics Rhythmic Grades Finals in Stoke-on-Trent.
Louise Christie of Beacon took the silver medal in the senior grade 10 competition by achieving a gold in the ribbon, silver in the hoop and a fourth with the clubs. In the same competition Pentlands Ciara Lindsay (pictured) took bronze in the club’s category and Lily Wilson on West Lothian secured fifth place.
West Lothian gymnast Darja Derugina took fifth place in ball and sixth place overall the espoir grade six competition. Club mate Amy Lewis was consistent with the ball and ribbon to achieve a fifth place overall in the junior grade nine competition.
The senior Pentland group performed well and achieved a sixth placing ahead of their British Championship in two weeks’ time.
