Scottish Clubs Enjoy Success at British TeamGym Championships 2018
Four Scottish clubs were represented at the British TeamGym Championships and Challenge Event at Northumbria University, Newcastle this weekend.
Saltire Team Gymnastics, with gymnasts from Irvine Bay Gymnastics Club, took the bronze medal in the Senior Mixed competition with a final score of 42.800. A great achievement after consistent performances on the trampet 13.200, tumbling 15.450 and floor where they scored 13.150.
In the Senior Micro Team Challenge, two Scottish clubs were represented. Forth Valley GC took the bronze medal with 13.00 on trampet and a tumble score of 12.95 led to a final score of 25.950 to land a well-deserved third place. In the same competition, Alloa Amateur GC team finished eighth overall gaining valuable experience at a big competition.
Congratulations to all the gymnasts and coaches on their achievements as well as representing Scottish Gymnastics so well.
