Recreational Head Coach & Level 1/2 Coach

Due to an increase in popularity and growth of our pre-school and recreational programmes, we are looking for a dynamic individual to lead our coaching team - minimum UKCC level two. We are also looking to recruit either a level one or level two gymnastics coach, or helpers looking to work towards a UKCC level one qualification. We will consider anyone with experience working with children, or coaches from other sports who are looking to expand thier skill set. 

We offer rates of pay dependent on qualification and experience with continuous professional development supported by the club.

Edinburgh Leisure

Gymnastics Coach Trainee Programme

Interested in a new challenge and career? Edinburgh Leisure is looking to recruit individuals with a passion for encouraging young people to be active and to learn new skills through our Gymnastics and Trampoline Coaching programme.

You do not need a coaching qualification to apply as Edinburgh Leisure will support you through your UKCC General Gymnastics or your Trampoline Level 1 qualification. There’s a timetable of dates you will be required to attend to support your training. 

Once qualified, you will work as a coach within the Edinburgh Leisure Gymnastics & Trampoline programme and you will be responsible for helping children develop social and physical skills, have fun and to keep coming back for more.  You will play a key role in helping children develop to their full potential, so it goes without saying that you need to be motivated, friendly and passionate about being active.

City of Glasgow Gymnastics Club

Finance Director

City of Glasgow GC is long established and hugely successful gymnastics club based in the heart of Glasgow. We have been producing successful athletes for decades with many Scottish Champions crowned, and some have represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Games. We always strive to give the best experience to all connected with the club. Our current focus is on men’s artistic, women’s artistic, acrobatic, and disability gymnastics.

We are seeking a Finance Director to join our Board of Directors. This role is voluntary, but all out of pocket expenses will be covered as per our expenses policy. We also recognise voluntary board roles are not always the most appealing, but this is a truly unique opportunity to make a huge difference to the Glasgow community and beyond and to be part of something special. We anticipate only three hours per week will be required plus a monthly board meeting.

Prior knowledge of gymnastics is not required, and don’t worry we won’t expect any new directors to participate in any gymnastics sessions.

Hope for Autism

Trampolining Coaching Staff

HOPE for Autism is a charity organisation who are based in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire. We support families within the community in many different ways, one of them being in sport and physical activity. Due to the sensory demand that trampolining gives our youngsters, it his increased in popularity. We have a facility and four trampolines available at our venue, but we need the correct coaches to facilitate these sessions. We are not necessarily looking for someone with experience in this sector, but someone who is open to support our community of members and learn more about working with children and young adults with autism and additional support needs. The sessions would ideally be early evening midweek or mornings at the weekend. We will also support successful applicants with training and further skill development.

Requirements: UKCC Level 2 trampoline and/or Level 1 general gymnastics coaching qualification and current safeguarding, PVG and membership with Scottish Gymnastics.
Rate of pay: Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience and qualification
Weekly hours: 2 hours per week (more hours possible)
Employment status: Preferably self-employed/ or part of gymnastics group

Meadowbank Gymnastics Club

Assistant Head Coach (MAG)

Meadowbank GC was established in 1971 and the club moved to its own premises in February 2020. This has enabled the club to develop. We are now looking for an enthusiastic level 2+ MAG coach to join our team as Assistant Head Coach and Head of Men’s Artistic.

The club provides high quality training at our dedicated facility in Dalkeith, Midlothian and is supported by a team of experienced and dedicated coaches and volunteers. We offer classes from parent & toddler through beginners and up to performance level in a safe, fun and friendly environment which is inclusive for all members. We are now looking to expand our team and offer additional classes due to an increasing demand for new members.

The successful candidate will be running our boys competitive and development squads as well as some recreational classes. This coach will work with our head coach to promote and develop the club further – in particular our boys section.

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary: £26,900 per year

Flic Flac Gymnastics Club, St Andrews

Assistant Coach

Flic Flac Gymnastics Club is a friendly, community-focussed club first established in 1980. We run recreational sessions on Monday and Thursday evenings during term time at the brand-new Madras College in St Andrews.  

We are looking for an additional assistant coach with a gymnast-centred attitude to join our team and work alongside our head coach primarily on Thursday evenings.  The club will also consider supporting successful applicants who are able to commit to the club longer term to further their coaching qualifications.  

Requirements: UKCC Level 1+ women’s artistic or general gymnastics coaching qualification, and current safeguarding, PVG and membership with Scottish Gymnastics.

Kingdom Gymnastics Trust

Lead Coach

Kingdom Gymnastics Trust has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our coaching team, working on an employed basis. We are looking for a Lead Coach for our recreational section for P1-P7 children, which runs during the school term (39 – 40 weeks per annum). Duties will include: Preparing session plans, leading the delivery of recreational gymnastics classes, administration of the awards schemes, management of session coaches and work schedules, organisation, planning and leading holiday camps. 

There may also be the opportunity to support the development and lead the delivery of our pre-school class programme for appropriately qualified coaches.  To be discussed further with the successful candidate.   Existing pre-school class times are Tuesday 12.30 to 2.00pm and Friday 9.30am to 11.00am.

Requirements: Minimum UKCC Level 2 Gymnastics (General, Women's or Men's Artistic) with current Scottish Gymnastics membership, PVG and Safeguarding and Protecting Children valid within the last three years. 
Status: Part-time employed, 12 hrs per week

Beacon Artistic

Part-Time Coach

Beacon Artstic Gymnastics in Aberdeen are currently looking for a level two or higher women's artistic coach for a part-time position. Gymnasts compete in two-piece, four-piece and teamgym. Therefore either a women's artistic or teamgym qualification will be required. Flexible hours are available and pay is dependent on the level of qualification. 

Classes run Wednesday 5pm-9pm and Saturday 9am-1pm - so the candidate will require to be available for these sessions.
