Scottish Rhythmic Open Championships 2019
The Scottish Rhythmic Open Championships were held at the Beacon Centre in Aberdeen on Saturday.
The event saw Scottish gymnasts compete in their own championship alongside an open section for clubs out-with Scotland.
In the level 3 section ViSta Gymnastics Academy’s Laura Podkowa won the U11 Scottish Championships with Emma Anderson from West Lothian Rhythmic Gymnastics Club earning the title in the U12 competition. Beacon Rhythmic Gymnastics Club’s Suzanne Whittle won gold in the junior category with Chloe Boyd from Pentland Gymnastics Club winning the senior level 3 Scottish Championship.
Abbi Reid (Beacon Rhythmic Gymnastics Club) earned the Scottish Championship title in the level 4 U12 competition with Murrin Mclean (Pentland Gymnastics Club) winning the junior title at the same level. The Senior level 4 Scottish Championship was won by Ciara Lindsay (pictured) also from Pentland Gymnastics Club.
Louise Christie from Beacon Rhythmic Gymnastics Club produced lovely senior level 5 routines to earn the Scottish title.
In the group competitions Pentland Gymnastics Club’s espoir level 3 and senior level 4 groups won gold in their categories.
