Success at 2016 Trampoline Championships
IT was a weekend of high-flying success at the Scottish National Trampoline and DMT Championships in Perth this weekend, with Murray Findlay of Edinburgh Spirals and Alba’s Katie Gallacher respectively winning the men and women’s trampolining championships and Fraser McLeod of Two Foot Higher and Kim Beattie of Banchory taking the DMT titles.
Meanwhile, the Gallacher family made sure the event was a real sister act, with Sarah Gallacher taking the NDP8 9-10 Champion title and Katie Gallacher winning the FIG 15-16 Champion and overall Ladies Champion.
Elsewhere, Faye Mark from Diamonds took the Form shield on the DMT, Fraser McLeod from Two Foot Higher took the Tariff shield in DMT, with Tiggers’ Stewart Addison lifting the Tariff trampoline prize for the second year in a row.
Euan Lowe, chief executive of Scottish Gymnastics, said:
“These Championships are always a great event for both gymnasts and spectators, offering a real spectacle for everyone to enjoy.
“Congratulations to everyone who competed on the day, which was a result of a lot of hard work, training and dedication from gymnasts, coaches and clubs alike.”
