Who is this assessment for?
Outstanding learners’ information:
Please make sure you have been in touch with the education team about your original assessment date before booking on to a new assessment.
This assessment is scheduled for a course. The learners attending the course will have prioritised slots. Any additional slots will be allocated to candidates who have completed the booking form on a first come first serve basis, with consideration to the discipline and level for the assessor.
If you would like to attend this assessment after the enrolment has closed, please contact coacheducation@scottishgymnastics.org with the times you can attend. The schedule for these assessments will have been created, the education team will see if it is possible to fit you in.
Additional requirements
If you have any learning or physical disabilities and require additional assistance or support for your course, please contact us before booking so we can discuss your needs, reasonable adjustments or arrangements, and suitability of the course. For courses on the British Gymnastics framework, we may need prior approval for any adjustments or arrangements to the course or assessment criteria.
Logbook – Level 1 and 2
You will need to send your logbook to your assessor so they receive it at least two weeks prior to your assessment. Take a copy of your logbook before sending it to your assessor for your records. You will not receive your logbook back after the assessment this will be held at the Scottish Gymnastics office. We advise you take a photo of the logbook pages which have feedback from your assessor and action plans after your assessment.
Gymnast Demonstrators
Level 1 & 2: You must be able to bring two or three demonstrators of the relevant standard to your assessment
Level 3: Learners must bring two or three gymnasts (acrobatic require 3 or 4), who they have spent time with developing the required level 3 skills. Gymnasts can be at varying levels in the skill development process and you should be able to show the planned physical preparation and progressions. At least one gymnast must be able to perform the whole skill with support for your assessment.
Safe Sport & Wellbeing
Coaching within a Scottish Gymnastics member club?
You must have Scottish Gymnastics & British Gymnastics membership, a PVG disclosure with Scottish Gymnastics and have a current Scottish Gymnastics Wellbeing and Protection award before working with children within the gym, including your mentor sessions.
