The leadership award consists of four modules focusing on the basic skills a leader needs to lead others in any sport or activity, with learning delivered within a gymnastics context.

Leadership outcomes:

  1. Understanding Self & Knowing Others
  2. Effective Communication & Generating Feedback
  3. Plan, Do, Review
  4. Effective Leadership into Practice

For those 12 years and above.

Dates, venue and equipment:
Delivery is very flexible. It can be completely offered in person either as two days of activity or broken into shorter sessions. Alternatively we can offer a hybrid model where some of the learning is offered online through zoom with only part of the course delivered ‘in the room’ together as a practical session.
The club is responsible for organising the venue if required.

Member cost – £26
Non-Member cost – £40
The club is responsible and will agree a payment with the tutor.

Booking process:
The booking process for this course is different as tutors are not contracted to Scottish Gymnastics.
– Complete the request a course application.
– Scottish Gymnastics will send you the course booking form and give you contact details for your local tutors, for you to arrange a time that suits and agree costs.
– Once confirmed complete the booking form and Scottish Gymnastics will arrange to send the relevant resources out for the course.
