2014 World Artistic Championships
Three of Team Scotland's Glasgow 2014 medal winning gymnasts have been preparing to take on the worlds best as the 2014 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships get underway in Nanning (China) tomorrow.
Dan Keatings and Dan Purvis, our most decorated gymnasts at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, have both been selected for the Great Britain men's artistic team in what is the first qualification event for Rio 2016. Frank Baines has travelled as reserve.
Scotland will go on to host the second Olympic qualification event when the 2015 World Championships come to the SSE Hydro in Glasgow next October. The top 24 teams from this years Championships will make their way to Glasgow where a top 8 finish will see automatic qualification for Rio 2016.
Making up the 6 man Great Britain team are Max Whitlock, Nile Wilson, Kristian Thomas and Courtney Tulloch.

Friday 3rd & 4th October – team qualification (GBR 3rd October)
Tuesday 7th October – men's team final
Thursday 9th October – men's all-around final
Saturday 11th & 12th October – men's apparatus finals
