Pathway

The Scottish Gymnastics pathway ensures everyone can take part in gymnastics-based activities at all stages and ages. Gymnastics is a fantastic sport for all ages at whatever level you participate, in whatever role you have.

You can start as a gymnast in preschool classes, attend regular training sessions, take part in events and performance pathways, become a coach, judge or volunteer, or help run your club or events.

Our focus through our Brilliant Basics blueprint is to:

• Support gymnasts so they can thrive at performance level and life stages, and transition between roles for lifelong involvement.
• Provide opportunities across disciplines to progress through programmes and competitions to Great Britain team selection and international success.
• Create resources to help coaches deliver quality gymnastics at all levels.
• Support our member clubs beyond their ambitions to expand activities in dedicated facilities so they can run their clubs professionally.
