Recent changes to employment law – is your club up to speed?

Employment law is changing, and recent updates to the Employment Rights Act (ERA) could affect how your club manages its people.

This webinar is being delivered by our club HR partners AAB People and in partnership with Scottish Athletics.  It will give you a clear and accessible overview of what’s changed and why it matters and explain the key updates in plain English, look at how they impact day‑to‑day people management, and highlight what clubs need to be aware of to stay compliant.

The session will focus on real‑life situations rather than legal jargon, helping you feel more confident about your responsibilities and better prepared to deal with common employment issues.

What you’ll gain

  • A straightforward summary of recent ERA changes
  • An understanding of how the updates affect everyday people management
  • Practical guidance you can apply within your club

Who should attend?

This session is suitable for:

  • Club committee members
  • Club managers and leaders
  • Volunteers with responsibility for staff or people management
  • Anyone involved in recruitment, contracts or workplace policies

No legal background is needed — just an interest in keeping your club informed, compliant and fair.

Bookings:

This webinar is completely free to member clubs of Scottish Gymnastics and delivered by our club HR partners at AAB people.

A Microsoft teams link will be sent out approximately 48 hours prior to the webinar.
