Trampoline & Double Mini-Trampoline | 2026 Scottish champions named in Dundee
Scottish gymnasts competed in the 2026 Scottish National Trampoline & DMT Gymnastics Championships in partnership with Loganair to be named champions.
It was a weekend full of twists, turns and triumphant landings at the Regional Performance Centre, Dundee. Gymnasts captivated the audience as they competed across synchronised trampoline, individual trampoline and double mini-trampoline categories.
Double Mini-Trampoline
Kim Beattie (Diamonds) and Ethan Cunningham (JUMP), pictured above, showed us exactly why they will be representing Great Britain at the Trampoline, Tumbling & DMT World Championships in November. The DMT gymnasts both won gold in the senior age category and then earned the top scores in the bounce off to take the FIG DMT women’s and men’s championship titles respectively.
Kim commented on the finals round of competition saying: “I really enjoyed the final bounce off. The noise, the atmosphere in noise and everything in here was incredible.”
Ethan alongside the titles earned the FIG DMT difficulty award, for the gymnast with the highest difficulty score in a single pass at that level, with his difficulty score of 10. Adding to the collection he also collected the FIG execution award, awarded to the gymnast with the highest total execution score over two passes, joint with Flyer’s Oscar Birrell scoring 37.50.
Speaking about his performances, Ethan shared his highlight moment: “Sticking two routines today, that has never happened in my life in competition. So that was fun, 100% success rate of the day.”
Trampoline
Over on the trampoline Keir Davidson (Northamptonshire) and Sarah Gallacher (Sparta) took both the senior and FIG champion titles in the male and female categories. Keir returned to the podium to also be presented the FIG difficulty shield, awarded to the gymnast with the highest difficulty in a single routine across the FIG trampoline age groups. “I put out some little upgrades I was working on this year, just to get them out in a competition. Overall (it went) pretty good.” Keir commented after the presentations.
Sarah when speaking about her competition highlights said “I got a PB (personal best) in my set routine, which I’m really pleased with. I haven’t had the greatest year with set routines so I’m really happy to put that out“. Notably before her individual competition on the trampoline, Sarah alongside clubmate Michael Gallery retained their senior FIG synchro champions title.
