Technical Committees

The purpose of our technical committees is to maintain the integrity of the sport and use each committee’s technical expertise to support the planning and development of a safe, quality gymnastics programme in Scotland. These volunteer-based roles are crucial to ensuring our disciplines are expertly guided with technical expertise and leadership, helping to shape gymnastics from grassroots to performance.

It’s important that the whole of the gymnastics community is united in our vision to deliver an uplifting experience for all through our strategy Leap Without Limits and our mission to create uplifting and enjoyable gymnastics experiences that are safe and open to everyone.

Our shared values with British Gymnastics reflect our vision for gymnastics across the UK and guide how we deliver and engage with the gymnastics community to ensure these values are at the heart of every experience. We are looking for people who share our values of inclusive, supportive, and aspirational to help us achieve our vision of an uplifting gymnastics experience for all.

Technical committees are essential in delivering this vision. They provide discipline-specific knowledge, expertise, and guidance, supporting Scottish Gymnastics’ strategic priorities. By collaborating closely with Scottish Gymnastics, technical committees align technical governance, pathways, and event standards with our mission. As ambassadors for our shared goals, they advocate for the growth and development of gymnastics across the UK.
