Acrobatic & Artistic | Caledonia International 2024 Team
A 50 strong team of gymnasts have been selected for Scotland to compete next month at the Caledonia International 2024, formerly known as the Home Nations.
Teams from Scotland, England, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales will compete against one another in acrobatic, men’s and women’s artistic in this first instalment of the competition at Ravenscraig.
This event gives gymnasts and coaches essential experience to help their development on the performance pathway. Competing against others out with their own nation also better prepares them for any future major international call ups.
Rona Patterson, lead manager of performance and pathway commented:
“It’s really exciting to bring the Caledonia International back to Scotland next month after the success of the home nations tournament we last hosted in 2019. It’s great to have this key development opportunity on home soil for the younger gymnasts from the home nations and Ireland.
“I hope that all of the gymnasts who are competing have a fantastic experience at the event. Please come along and support what will be a great weekend of gymnastics!”
Congratulations to all of the gymnasts, coaches and their clubs on their selection.
The Caledonia International takes place on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 April at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility, Motherwell. Tickets are officially on sale now – secure yours through our online shop!
