Baines Places Fifth at 2014 Glasgow World Cup
Scotland's commonwealth silver medallist Frank Baines has placed fifth at the 2014 Glasgow World Cup. Frank delivered a number of outstanding displays at the Emirates Arena to cap off a successful year.
Baines got off to a flying start on floor and produced what went on to be his highest score of the day, finishing his routine with a triple twist for a score of 14.933. At the half way point of the competition he lay in 5th place with a score of 42.066. On the final piece of apparatus he delivered an excellent high bar routine including a straight Tkchev to score 14.166 and finish in 5th place for the competition, with an all-around result of 84.332.
The Glasgow World Cup title was won for the second year in a row by Ukrainian Oleg Verniaiev.
