Job Description

East Kilbride Gymnastics Club is a large, successful club offering Women’s Artistic, Acro, Tumble, Display, Recreational, Pre-School & ASN classes. We are one of the largest gymnastics clubs in Scotland and looking to expand even further. We have recently added a second facility to supplement our main building which is fully kitted out with FIG equipment. We have a strong coaching team but are looking to add to this as we continue to grow. 

Who we’re looking for

Are you an enthusiastic, motivated coach keen to work with a great team in a successful and growing club? Are you looking to make coaching your career? Right now we are looking for Level 2+ WAG coaches and Level 2 Recreational coaches just like you! If you are a Level 1 coach with ambitions to progress you can also be considered. 

We can offer up to 30 hours per week with a combination of artistic hours plus recreational, display or preschool classes if interested.  It’s you and your great enthusiasm, dedication and experience that we are looking for! The existing coaching team is highly experienced, highly motivated and keen to work with similar coaches just like you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with head coaches to deliver progressive and engaging sessions
  • Support gymnasts’ participation in competitions and events
  • Contribute to the ethos of the club and become a member of a great team

Person Specification

  • Hold a minimum Level 1 coaching qualification in women’s artistic or general gymnastics – willing to work towards Level 2 and higher qualifications
  • Hold current Scottish Gymnastics membership
  • Possess current safeguarding and protecting children certification and PVG
  • A strong desire to work with both recreational and competitive gymnasts to support their development
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and flexibility to cover various groups across the club
  • Keen to progress your coaching career and help progress and develop the success of EKGC
