Job Description

Meadowbank Gymnastics Club is delighted to be in a position to offer an employed position at our dedicated facility in Midlothian. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic women’s artistic Level 2+ coach to join our coaching team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging coaching sessions for women’s artistic, recreational, and floor and vault
  • Planning athlete specific progressive women’s artistic training programmes, taking into consideration long and short term goals and aspirations
  • Attend competitions and events as required
  • Work as part of the team to participate in day to day running of our sessions
  • Implement ASN support plans under direction of lead coach

Person specification:

  • Minimum of Level 2 coaching qualification in women’s artistic gymnastics, with a commitment to progress towards Level 3 – mentoring will be offered to support this
  • Have good knowledge and experience of the women’s artistic pathway
  • Personal values align with our club values of kindness, respect, communication, support and inclusion.
  • Able to develop the holistic wellbeing of gymnasts by prioritising safety, fun and open communication
  • Enthusiasm for gymnastics and drive to motivate and support gymnasts to reach their potential through research and personal development
  • Excellent at building rapport with gymnast, parents and colleagues
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Current safeguarding and protecting children certificate, and PVG
