The fundamental aim of Scottish Gymnastics Schools Competitions and Programmes are to increase the participation levels of gymnastics in the school environment throughout Scotland, via both curricular and extracurricular channels.
Schools gymnastics is well placed in the ‘Curriculum for Excellence’, providing experiences and outcomes that fulfill the requirements in terms of Health and Wellbeing through Physical Activity and Sport. It also contributes well to the 4 key capacities – successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens, effective contributors. Please note that the effect of the pandemic in 2020 has led to the cancellation of Schools competitions from 2020-23.
