Schools
The fundamental aim of Scottish Gymnastics Schools Competitions and Programmes are to increase the participation levels of gymnastics in the school environment throughout Scotland, via both curricular and extracurricular channels.
Schools gymnastics is well placed in the ‘Curriculum for Excellence’, providing experiences and outcomes that fulfill the requirements in terms of Health and Wellbeing through Physical Activity and Sport. It also contributes well to the 4 key capacities – successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens, effective contributors. We are bringing back the Scottish Schools Competition for 2023-24. The event will be held at Bells Sports Centre, Perth, on Saturday 1 June 2024.
Please find attached Scottish School Rules Handbook 2023-24.
NOTE:- There will be no Level 4 competition held this year at the competition – regions are encouraged to continue to hold this Level using either the BGSA Rules or their own regional rules.
We would like to encourage regions to hold their regional qualifiers between now and the closing date for the competition – 20th April 2024.
You can view the results of previous regional heats and finals on the competition results page.
