Trampoline & Double Mini-Trampoline | Six Scots selected to represent Great Britain on the World stage
Six Scots selected for the Trampoline, Tumbling & Double Mini-Trampoline World Championships and World Age Groups competitions in Pamplona, Spain.
Senior World Championships
Kim Beattie (Banchory) will return to the World Championships to compete in double mini-trampoline (DMT) for the fifth time. In her debut at this level eight years ago, she helped the GBR women’s team secure the silver medal, followed by another silver and bronze in later years.
Ethan Cunningham, named as reserve in 2023, will make his world championships debut in 2025 as selectors name him on the men’s DMT squad. In summer, the JUMP gymnast competed in Spain for GBR at the Coimbra World Cup finishing a respectable fifth place.
The pair, alongside judge Brian Scott, will be in action from Wednesday 5 November to Sunday 9 November.
World Age Groups
Newly crowned Scottish champion and retaining British junior champion Paige Russell (JUMP) will compete in the 15-16 women’s DMT category. In 2023 she finished eighth in the 13-14 age category and progressed to fifth in the junior finals. City of Edinburgh’s Holly Allfrey has been named to represent Great Britain in the 17-21 DMT category.
Brothers Leo and Keir Davidson will both compete in the 17-21 category also however in different disciplines. Leo (JUMP) will take to the DMT run while Keir (Northamptonshire) is over on the trampoline.
Ava Fettes has also been named as the non-travelling reserve for the 17-21 DMT competition.
Joining these gymnasts in Paloma from 15 to 18 November will be DMT coach Debi McPhee from JUMP and judge Lynn Simpson.
Congratulations to all selected and best wishes in your preparations. We can’t wait to follow the action.
