Trampoline, Tumble and DMT World Age Group Competitions 2018
Four Scottish gymnasts represented Great Britain at the Trampoline Tumble and DMT World Championships and World Age Group Championships in St Petersburg, Russia earlier this month.
At the World Age Group Championships last weekend, in the girls 11-12 DMT competition, Ava Fettes (Banchory, pictured with Lauren Jeffrey) qualified for the finals in eighth place and went two placings better to finish sixth earning a score of 62.00, a great achievement for such a young gymnast!
Demi Adams (Sapphire) represented us in the girls 15-16 age competition qualifiing for finals and scoring 31.400 to also earn sixth place at her first World Age Group Championships.
DMT gymnasts Kim Beattie (Banchory) and Caitlin O’Brien (City of Edinburgh) were competing in the senior women’s competition at the World Championships and scored 66.500 and 62.200 during qualification, sadly not quite enough to allow them to progress to finals.
Congratulations to all the gymnasts and coaches on their selection to the Great Britain team for these championships – what an experience!
