Trampoline, Tumbling & DMT| Six medals earned by Scots at 2025 British Championships
Three golds and three bronze won by Scottish gymnasts at the JustGo British Trampoline, Tumbling and Double Mini-Trampoline Championships 2025 on Sunday 5 October.
The weekend of competition kicked off on Saturday with the national age groups competition across the three disciplines. Scores from this event were then used to determine which gymnasts progressed to the British championships hosted on the Sunday at Telford International Centre.
Newly crowned 2025 Scottish double mini-trampoline (DMT) women’s champion Paige Russell soared to success in the junior level throughout the weekend. The JUMP gymnast became back-to-back women’s champion, improving her score from 24.90 in qualification to 25.7 in the second final.
In the senior women’s DMT level Banchory’s Kim Beattie earned bronze and the Chris Fordham memorial trophy for the highest DMT execution trophy in the championships. Northern Ireland gymnast, but Scotland based at JUMP for university, Molly McKenna took the gold in this category, at this level the personal coach is also recognised with an award. Debi McPhee received this on the day and has gifted it to Molly’s prior coach from home – a great example of our supportive value in action.
Jay Howard (pictured above) from Scotia brought home not only a medal in both trampoline and DMT but also their championship titles. The disability gymnast competed in ages 9-14 category 1 in both disciplines.
Sparta’s Sarah Gallacher also had double medal success in trampoline. The senior gymnast claimed bronze as an individual as well as in the synchronised competition with English gymnast Gabby Moorhouse from Kirklees Trampoline.
