Adults | Scottish success 2026 British Gymnastics Championships
Scottish adult gymnasts finish top of the table across three disciplines at the 2026 Adult British Gymnastics Championships over the weekend.
The adult British Championships took place at Lilleshall National Sports Centre with athletes aged 18 and over competing across artistic, tumbling, trampoline and acrobatics in beginner to pro levels.
Men’s Artistic
Matthew MacIntosh from Edinburgh University competed in the men’s novice over 18 category where he earned silver for the all-around but notably finished finished first on floor with a score of 10.950. He also placed second on vault and p-bar with a third on rings to complete the set. Club teammate Aaron Walker also finished top three with third placings on floor, pommel and high bar in the same category.
In the over 18 pro category, Edinburgh University gymnasts Neil McCallum earned first on vault and third for his floor and p-bars routines. Narrowly missing out on a podium finish for all-around and top three on rings where he finished fourth respectively.
The following gymnasts finished top eight in their respective level and age category:
- Matthew MacIntosh | novice over 18 pommel & high bar fourth
- Aaron Walker | novice over 18 all-around, rings, vault & p-bars fourth
- Neil McCallum | pro over 30 rings fourth


Trampoline
Aaron Walker added to his championship success from men’s artistic and jumped to the top of the table in the men’s introductory over 18 category winning gold. Aisling Hurley and Mayyah Noorullah each claimed bronze in the women’s introductory and novice over 18’s categories respectively.
The following gymnasts finished top eight in their respective level and age category:
- Jasmine Black | Pro over 18 fourth
- Kate Harrison | Novice over 18 seventh
- Edinburgh University | Team seventh
Acrobatics
Edinburgh University were represented by six partnerships in the acrobatic discipline. Lauren Campbell, Alesha Safraz and Jasmine Black earned 50.165 in the women’s group competition to take home gold. Joining them were fellow their student teammates by Annabel Lloyd, Saffia Lakehall and Charlote Elrick in second place. In the men’s group category Matthew MacIntosh, Neil McCallum, Harry Reeder, & Aaron Walker also earned a silver medal with their combined routine.
Grace Williams, club president, and Matthew MacIntosh performed as a mix pair once again, improving their bronze medal from 2025 to silver. Criostai Pringle and Jonathon Henderson joined them on the podium in the bronze medal position.

- Edinburgh University | Team fourth
- Aisling Hurley & Aaron Walker | Mixed pair fourth


Women’s Artistic
Student Kyla-Marie Jordon finished what would have been podium places if apparatus medals were awarded in the women’s artistic introductory over 18 category; first on vault, second on beam and third on bars. In the intermediate over 18 category, Lauren True from Dumfries Y also competed in this category and in the clubs first ever representation at this event, she earned first on vault.
The following gymnasts finished top eight in their respective level and age category:
- Kyla-Marie Jordan – Edinburgh University | Introductory over 18 all-around fourth & floor eighth
- Chelsea Pledge – Edinburgh University | Novice over 18 all-around sixth
- Jasmine Moore – Dumfries Y | Novice over 30 vault sixth
