Artistic gymnasts have been selected to join the Scottish Gymnastics performance programmes for the 2024-25 period.
Sixty women’s artistic gymnasts and fifty-one men’s artistic gymnasts were named after 6 experience days held across 3 weekends in December 2024 at Inverclyde. Mharius Gherman and Becki Campbell will return as the lead coaches for our men’s artistic and women’s artistic programmes respectively, with additional expert coaches being brought in across the levels to assist throughout the year.
The national performance programme (NPP) gymnasts will attend four men’s and women’s joint residential camps at Inverclyde National Sports Training Centre, with our performance pathway programme (PPP) also following this format. Our development programme will be based in The Lasswade Centre to participate in six joint one day training sessions for the year ahead.
Our athlete-centred, coach-led and performance driven programme is based on a culture of providing a supportive environment for gymnasts to thrive, to embrace challenges and setbacks as well as taking ownership of their training and their development.
