Caledonia International 2024 | Acrobatic & Artistic Results
Scotland’s team of 50 gymnasts across men’s and women’s artistic and acrobatics earned a total of 15 gold, four silver and six bronze medals at the 2024 Caledonia International.
Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility welcomed England, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales on 6 and 7 April, bringing the nations together in Scotland for the first time since 2019 for the event formerly known as the Home Nations.
In the acrobatic competition, the forty strong Scotland acrobatic team performed tremendously as they secured gold in the team competition on Saturday with England coming second and Wales in third. This demonstrates fantastic progression within the Scottish performance programme and recognises the hard work of both gymnasts and coaches in our clubs.
These dazzling performances continued on day two with Scotland claiming eight of the golds on offer across the fourteen categories. There was a high level of skill, artistry and difficulty put out on the floor in mixed pairs, women’s groups, women’s pairs and men’s pair. The gold medal winners in each category were:

Scotland replicated the acrobatic success in men’s artistic by winning the team gold; again, showing brilliant improvement in the Scottish performance programme improving on their third place finish in 2019. Congratulations gymnastics coaches. Everyone then brought their A game into the apparatus finals as multiple gymnasts vastly improved their scores from qualifications. Aaron Gregory (Scotland) won gold in the all-around and team event. He took home another gold medal from the pommel finals and won an impressive fourth gold on parallel bars jointly with England’s Rishad Al-Amin. Putting out a strong routine on rings to boost himself from fifth and onto the podium, Al-Amin went on to claim gold on the apparatus followed by his third gold of the day on high bar.
On floor Matthew Hickey (England) retained his qualifying position of first. Ethan Clark (England) qualified in first for vault with 12.450, the only one to break into the 12s. This soon changed as in finals the top four gymnasts all scored in this region, with Clark still finishing top of the table.
Scotland’s women’s artistic team secured the bronze medal in the team competition. Brooke Evans stood out as she claimed a medal of each colour from apparatus finals, two of which were gold on floor and bars. All-around women’s winner Jessica Cashman (England) took home a second gold of her competition in the beam final. Isabelle Pristley was the highest qualifier in the vault going into the final, won the gold medal jointly with her England teammate Georgia Stables.
Congratulations to all the gymnasts, coaches and the nations on their success at the Caledonia International 2024.
